Description

This "trail" has a lot of parts to it. The portion open to bikes goes from the Triple Falls/Buck Forest Road intersection down to the picnic shelter above High Falls, and then on down to the Riverbend trail, then alongside the river to Triple Falls. Starting at Buck Forest road, this is a gravel road occasionally used by park and private vehicles to access the falls picnic shelter/overlook (by permit only). From the picnic shelter to the River Bend tr., this is a steep old road bed, and passes by a great view of the falls. Use caution in this high-traffic area. From River Bend to Triple Falls, the old road is moderately rocky and follows the river, with some wet spots. It climbs just a bit before the Triple Falls intersection.

An excellent warm-up ride, or even a first-time or kids ride, would be to go from the main High Falls parking area down Buck Forest road, and then down this trail to the picnic shelter.
