A can't miss trail. Best slickrock riding in the East! Half-loop; ride either direction. Moderate climb east-to-south, killer climb south-to-east. Hot & open in sun. Thin pine trees; views. Rocky, technical downhills both ways. New rock-armored sections to help prevent erosion. Part of the Eastern Slickrock Best Ride.

Rolling, mostly hardpacked doubletrack, but there are some rocks and big gravel. Becoming singletrack in places. Some sandy spots. Part of the Eastern Slickrock Best Ride. Newly re-constructed section from the ford at the shoals to the Laurel Ridge trail is fantastic, with switchbacks, TTF's (Technical Trail Features), views, and fast, hardpacked sections coming downhill.

Moderately steep climb on newly constructed trail with several switchbacks. Winds up from the Hooker Falls parking area to the picnic area at Triple Falls. Named for large amounts of galax which grows on the ground in the woods here. DO NOT CUT SWITCHBACKS!
